"… Chez Pok, the on-site restaurant at Peppers. We were spoiled by the five-course chef's selection menu, specially chosen with matching wines by executive chef Emerson Rodriguez. The food - from the quail to the veal medallions to the scallops and pork belly - was superb, the wines perfectly matched and our waitress was attentive without being intrusive. She even brought our last course, a chocolate souffle with dessert wine, to us on the couch in front of the fire. It was pure indulgence, one of the best meals I have ever experienced.” Sydney Morning Herald, June 2008 "Back at the guest house, we take full advantage of the indoor pool and spa before dinner at the posh Chez Pok restaurant. We're won over, even before our orders arrive, by the sweet onion muffins with olive oil, dukkah and feta, and the complimentary teacups of tomato and pancetta soup" Sydney Morning Herald, March 2007 "We find it extremely hard to fault Peppers Guest House, the setting was superb, the staff and service was fantastic and the food and facilities were brilliant." Chris - Guest, March 07 "Meanwhile among the most sought-after accommodation are Peppers Guest House at Pokolbin, a discreetly stylish retreat with 48 bedrooms and friendly kangaroos that hop about the grounds..." The Independant UK, January 07 “Peppers Guest House is another favourite, surrounded by tranquil gardens, nestled among vineyards, home to Chez Pok restaurant and the endota spa and delightfullly decked out” Australian Gourmet Traveller Wine, Summer issue 2006 We have just enjoyed a great short break at the Peppers Guest House in the Hunter Valley... The Guest House is kid friendly with relaxed professional staff and the size of the rooms and layout of the hotel making the stay easy on Mums and Dads... The rooms have been upgraded with a very modern feel and yet cozy and very clean and functional... Breaky was superior to most we have had at hotels recently....We felt pampered and refreshed and returned to Sydney in under two & half hours. Who could ask for more! Trip Advisor, November 2006
