This year at Peppers we have planned a very exciting program on the wine front with an exciting line-up of wine events and an expanded premium wine offering across Peppers’ restaurants. In addition to this, I have selected wines from Australia’s most respected winemakers as a premium in-room offer, wines you can enjoy during your stay, take with you on the road or simply pack up to enjoy at home.
Over the past couple of years we have had a lot of fun pitching legendary Australian winemakers against each other in our Wine Wars dinners. These events not only let you meet Australia’s famous winemaking legends and taste their best wines, they give you, our guest, the opportunity to vote on the evening’s winner whilst you settle in and enjoy an expertly matched menu.
Our Wine Wars dinners tap into the unique food experiences of each Peppers location, showcasing the talented team of chefs and their expert knowledge of local produce.
We have a new round of winemaking young guns and legends in store for this year’s Wine Wars events and we are even heading across the ditch to Peppers Parehua in New Zealand where we’ll celebrate the ANZAC spirit by putting Australia and New Zealand’s wines side-by-side.
I’ve also introduced a new wine event for you this year and I’m pleased to announce that we are launching our Great Wines of Australia dinners.
These will be a real highlight of the calendar offer a rare opportunity to sample the very best of Australia’s regional wine benchmarks in one great big celebration of great wine, focusing on the most iconic regional wine styles crafted at the hands of the very best producers.
And speaking of all things regional, we have selected a series of one-off events that are closely linked into some of my favourite Peppers properties. These form a part of the Peppers Gourmet Food Trail which is our way of sharing with you the best local produce, unique experiences, the brilliant Peppers chefs and, of course, great wines.
Cheers and see you at Peppers!
